Adult lap swim will be available at SAC for Fall 2010!   Please join us for lap swimming for health and fitness! $6 per swim or $60 a month. Senior fees for 55+ are  $4 per day or $55.00 per month.  Passes may be purchased onsite or online  Lap swim passes are issued for use at this facility .  You must have a pass with you, or you will be expected to pay the daily fee to enter the water.  Swimmers are expected to share lanes and circle swim.  Lanes may be limited during some hours of operation.  

LAP SWIM RULES:

Open Lap Swim is for ‘deep water safe’ persons 14 years and older. Due to other scheduled aquatic activities, the number of lap swim lanes may vary. Adult Lap Swimming lanes are available during all “Open Lap Swim” hours. The participants will need to pass a swim test, consisting of being able to tread water for at least one minute and swim continuous laps of a chosen stroke. All participants will need to be wearing appropriate swim attire: bathing suit, swim trunks, or a racing suit; No  under garments, street clothing, leotards ,or cut offs are allowed.   A swim safety test/waiver card will be issued to the patron (upon passing the swim safety test) along with a monthly or annual pass card. The card will be kept in a file at the Alvarez Pool entrance front desk.  Lap swimmers are expected to share lanes and circle swim in the designated lanes.  Lap swim may be cancelled due to special events, holidays, or closing the facility due to other issues.  The facility will do their best to post pool closures on the MCAT web site www.mcatsva.org.  Due to emergent or unforeseen circumstances MCAT may not always have the ability to post timely notice.  Lap swimmers agree to understand that there is no prorating of a month or refund of fees for any reason.
