Zone 1 South Meet
Championship Report for MCAT
Participating
Swimmers:
46
Entered: 51
Coaches Attending: 5
The MCAT participation in
the 2010 Zone 1 South Championships was formidable.
Our team
looked good, sporting team beanies and scarves. Parents fulfilled their
responsibilities in timing, marshaling, and officiating. But, most important the
kids had a great time and swam well. The” performance pie
chart” was a hit with the kids earning 11 pies for the
team. In spite
of inclimate weather, the kids bested many of their recent
times. From a coaching
perspective this meet was fun and stress free and a great team
building event.
The pizza social on
Saturday evening went well, with Mike Rianda donating Pizza for the
team and Cindy Noda donating the drinks. Parents were very generous at the
meet providing for coaches and other team members. What a fantastic start to
the New Year.

Much was learned at this
meet. Those who have
worked hard at practice and who have attended practice regularly
benefited the most.
Some coming back after injury, vacation, or another sport realized
their level of conditioning or lack thereof. High school age swimmers got to
see where they are at before sprint season begins. Many earned Central California JO
cuts. For me, I
learned that we have a great group of kids, coaches and
parents. I am part of
something very special in my career as a coach. I love this team!!!!!!
