Issues concerning coaching, swimmer discipline, or performance should always be taken up first with your childs coach. The next step after you have spoken with their coach, and feel that the issue has not been resolved, is to ask for a meeting with the Head Coach. Board members do not handle coaching issues. Amber Kearney joins MCAT in 2008, bringing with her 15 years of coaching experience. She has been hired as the Head Age Group Coach. Her duties include assisting the Head Coach in guiding the performance programming of the team as it pertains to age group level swimming. She is responsible for supervising other age group coaches involved in the USA Swimming aspect of SVA Inc. We are very happy to have Amber as part of our team. Amber has over 15 years of coaching experience. She has coached numerous Pacific Top Ten Swimmers.
Coach Christina Vega -Madrigal has been an MCAT Coach for over 5 years assisting at all levels of the Age Group swimming program for MCAT. She was a successful competitive swimmer and a top notch USA Swimming Coach, aswell as a site supervisor for SwimAmerica . Christina also has experience as an (ASCA )American Swim Coaches Association level 2 certified coach. She is certified in ARC Coaches Safety Training,CPR, and First Aid. Background screening through T-Logic and DOJ.
Coach Kristen Henry is our most experienced Swim Instructor and is the Manager of our -Learn to Swim programs and staff. She is a graduate of Arizona State University with a degree in Elementary Education. Kristen is ASCA level 2 certified, possess ARC CPR, Lifeguard, First Aide, and Coaches Saftey Training certifications. She also is a USA Swimming Coach and coaches our Age Group 1 level.
