Amber N Kearney
Head Age Group Program Coach

Amber Kearney joins MCAT in 2008, bringing with her 15 years of
coaching experience. She has been hired as the Head Age Group
Coach. Her duties include assisting the Head Coach in guiding
the performance programming of the team as it pertains to age group
level swimming. She is responsible for supervising other age
group coaches involved in the USA Swimming aspect of SVA Inc.
We are very happy to have Amber as part of our team.
Parissa K.S. Shaghaghi

Pari is our Age Group Coach. She has graduated
from CSUMB with a degree in Social and Behavioral Science and
a Minor in Coaching. Pari is also the team’s Swim
America Assistant Program Director and Hartnell College site
supervisor. Pari also coaches as the Head Women’s swim coach
for Notre Dame High School as well as the JV Water Polo coach for
Notre Dame High School.
Kaydi A Barrus
Novice& AG1 Level Swim Coach-MCAT

Kaydi Barrus joins the Monterey County Aquatic Team after being
an accomplished competitive swimmer for the Woodland Aquatic Team
and a water polo player for the CSUMB Team. She also
swam competitively for Sacramento State Swim Team. She is now
a member of our SVAM (Salinas Valley Aquatics Masters Team)
and she has worked for us for 2 years as a swim instructor.
We are excited to have such an accomplished swimmer as our novice
level coach.
Kristen N Henry
Swim America Program Manager/USS Coach

Coach Kristen Henry is our most experienced Swim
America Instructor. She attends college at Arizona State
University and will graduate in December of 2009 with a
degree in Education. Kristen will be the Program
Manager for our Swim America Program in 2009 and more specifically
a site supervisor for our Alvarez site.
Christina Vega-Madrigal

Coach Christina Vega -Madrigal has been an MCAT Coach for over 5
years assisting at all levels of the Age Group swimming program for
MCAT. She was a successful competitive swimmer and a top
notch USA Swimming Coach, aswell as a site supervisor for
SwimAmerica . Christina also has experience as an
(ASCA )American Swim Coaches Association level 2 certified
coach. She is certified in ARC Coaches Safety Training,CPR,
and First Aid. Background screening through T-Logic and DOJ.
Selena Wilson
Fundraising Coor./SA Site Supervisor

Selena Wilson has been hired to coordinate fundraising and to
assist in Site Supervision of our swim America program.
Selena brings to MCAT her vast experience in fundraising.
Francis J Gracia
USA Swimming Coach,Lifeguard,Instructor

Joey Gracia is a very successful competitve swimmer with USA
Swimming Sectional qualification times and CCS qualification
times. He is a very experienced swim instructor and ARC
certified Lifeguard,CPR,First Aide. Joey has been recently
hired to assist in USA Swimming Age Group Coaching. He has
been a certified Life guard and lesson instructor for MCAT and the
YMCA for over 5 years.
Kamaron M Rianda
Head Water Polo Coach/Tech Admin/

Kamaron is a USA Swimming Certified Coach and is ASCA level 2
certified. Kam has been coaching for over 4 years and has
been and taught swim lessons for 4 years prior to that. He
has been a competitive swimmer for over 12 years. All League,
Team captain, CCS Qualifier, Sectional and Western Zone
Participant. Currently he swims for SVAM (Salinas Valley
Aquatics Masters) and returns to coach for the summer as senior
assistant coach.
Eddie Navarro
Head Lifeguard/School Lesson Supervisor

Eddie Navarro has over 6 years experience life guarding for the
City of Salinas and for MCAT. He has also taught 1,000's of
kids how to swim. Eddie is an ideal Head Lifeguard and
posesses all the necessary certifications for this position.
He also has worked as a State Beach Lifeguard and instructed kids
in the Jr. Lifgeguards program in Monterey.
